About the event
South Carolina Ballet’s Nutcracker is coming back to Patriot Hall in Sumter this November!
William Starrett’s version of the holiday classic has become a South Carolina tradition, and for many families the season doesn’t really start until they’ve seen it. Follow Clara on her dreamlike journey from a candlelit holiday party, through a snowy forest, to the Land of the Sweets. Starrett’s staging gives the story a romantic Southern feel, with hand-crafted backdrops, elegant costumes and a sweet side romance between Clara’s sister Louisa and the Lead Cadet.
It’s a beautiful outing for families, couples and anyone looking to celebrate the season.
